Mansion Row Home Dates to 1870

The Samuel A. McClung House in New Albany was built in 1870. McClung was a boots and shoes merchant. According to several newspaper accounts, this home was the scene of many fancy social gatherings when the McClungs lived here. 

This was home to several others in its time and was also a boarding house at one time. After World War II, it became apartments and it remains so now. It contributes to the Mansion Row Historic District.
