Welcome to White Hall! This historic home in Spring Hill, Tennessee is an antebellum greek revival that was built for Dr. Aaron C. White by his brother Henry in 1844. He owned some 300 acres in the area and donated some of his land to the town of Spring Hill for a boys school. He practiced medicine and simultaneously farmed him land. His wife, Eliza, assisted him in caring for patients and unfortunately caught yellow fever during an epidemic and died in 1853. He remarried Eliza’s cousin, Margaret Fain, and they had six children.
This house once faced Mt Carmel Road which is now Duplex Road. During the Civil War, the mansion was used as a headquarters for the Confederates. Dr White also treated wounded soldiers at White Hall after the war was over. Dr. White is buried in the Spring Hill Cemetery. This home is an incredible piece of history for Spring Hill. It’s for sale! A cool $1.75 mil and it’s yours along with close to 4 acres. I hope someone grabs this one up and restores it to its former glory!
