This is one my absolute favorites in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. The Collier-Crichlow House was built in 1879 for Ingram Banks Collier III. This family was prominent in the community and provided Murfreesboro with four of its mayors. If you remember my post about the “House of Mayors” a while back, this is another home in that family. I had the pleasure of getting a bit of its history directly from the current owner a few months ago. He has done a lot of work to preserve the original details of this home and it shows! It has held a place on the National Register of Historic Places since 1973. Located on Main Street, you can’t miss this one if you ever drive through. It almost demands your attention!
