The Hundley House was built in 1900 by Oscar R. Hundley. While he also had three other homes built in the same neighborhood, his personal home was distinctively elegant. So much so that the local newspaper said that the home boasted “the most expensive and beautiful bathroom fixtures ever put in the city.” Hundley was a notable lawyer in the Huntsville community and was eventually appointed federal judge for the northern district of Alabama in 1907. He later moved to Birmingham to practice law at which point the home became a funeral home. It is now the offices of the Cochran Law Firm. Yep, that Cochran!
