I used to pass this every day for years and never knew the significance of it. Walnut Flat Farm in Jackson, Tennessee was established in 1865 by William and Eliza Pearson. They purchased 1,062 acres of land for $1500 and began planting crops and raising livestock. The homestead is obviously worn, but it’s still standing! And the farm? It’s been ran continually by the same family for 155 years making it a Tennessee Century Farm. Wow!
