Dreamy Church in St Simons Island

This is the incredibly dreamy Christ Episcopal Church on St. Simons Island, Georgia. This church started as a mission in 1736. The first building was erected in 1820. Fun fact – In 1840, parishioners discovered a beehive in the church’s steeple. To raise money for repairs to their building, they collected and sold the honey! How genius! Sadly, the building was destroyed during the Civil War. The present building was erected in 1884. That spanish moss framing it like a picture, I almost couldn’t believe it was real!
