Pink House Now Known as Gray Tower

Before we get too far from Halloween, I have to share this house! The Barnes House in Maryville, Tennessee – Circa 1896. It was built for Dr and Mrs Jasper Barnes who was a dean and professor of psycholoy at Maryville College. It remained in the Barnes family until 1971. It started as a white house, was painted a Victorian yellow in 1972, later was painted pink (as you can see from this Google Streetview image), and is now gray. It’s known as “Gray Tower”.
