Wowee! The Caleb Isbester House, in Chattanooga, was built in 1896. The Queen Anne Victorian home has some pretty cool chateauesque features. I couldn’t help but think it looks like a castle right there on the corner of Oak and Douglas streets! Caleb Isbester died just 2 years after completing his home and it went to his widow and daughter. His daughter Ginny was married to William Riley Crabtree who went on to become the mayor of Chattanooga in 1907.
