This large building on Jekyll Island, Georgia was known as Sans Souci when it was built in 1896. Henry B. Clyde along with his fellow Jekyll Island Associates, including the well-known J. P. Morgan, wanted to build an extravagant place for their clubhouse members to stay. It is said that these are the first condos ever built in the United States! When built, it contained 6 condos and now boasts 24 rooms. It’s located on the property of the Jekyll Island Club Resort.
