18,000 SqFt Historic Home

This beauty was too big to get in one picture! With 18,000 square feet, you can understand why. This huge home, which is now a hotel, was built in 1888 for the Lewis Kayton family. Made from red brick and terra cotta, it’s Romanesque with many hefty gothic touches. The architecture is so beautiful! After serving as a private residence for several decades, it became home to Fox and Weeks funeral home before being turned into a hotel in the 2000s. It has a pretty commanding presence right there on Forsyth Park. Check it out next time you’re in Savannah!
