It’s hard to believe this is a historic house! “Oakdene” in Staunton, Virginia was built in 1893 for Lieutenant Governor Edward Echols. Its been meticulously restored over the last 25 years. This one is FULL of neat features including a secret door (to the wine cellar), library with rolling ladder, and even an elevator. If you look closely, you can see an owl finial at the top of the turret there towards the middle. The eyes glow at night!
