Colorful Ashland, Virginia Victorian

How about a bit of color?! The Chenery House was built around 1891. James and Ida raised 5 children here including Christopher Chenery who was known for breeding and foaling the famous Secretariat! He became ill and his daughter Penny took over and Secretariat went on to take the victory at the 1973 Triple Crown. This home is the earliest surviving house on Duncan Street in Ashland, Virginia.
