Lovely Lavender Home in Ashland

The Isaacs House in Ashland, Virginia was built in 1887 right on the rail line. One of the girls that grew up in this home, Lila Isaacs, was married here in 1895. Right after the ceremony, they stepped right onto the train in front of the home and headed off to their honeymoon! There were plans in the 1940s to remove all of the Queen Anne features of the home and make it a Colonial style, but as you can see, that never happened!
