Bolivar’s “The Columns”

The Ingram House or more commonly known as “The Columns” in Bolivar was built in 1860. It was used as a hospital during the Civil War and the backyard contains the oldest boxwood garden in the state of Tennessee. The Ingram family bought the house in 1900 and it remained in their family for decades. The last Ingram to own it, Elizabeth Ingram, founded the Bolivar Historical and Community Foundation. She left the home to the foundation upon her death. It’s now operated by them as a historic wedding and events venue.
