Old Jonesborough Home, Circa 1840

The Old Boyd House in Jonesborough was built in 1840. Greek Revival in architecture with a Victorian porch that may have been added on later. This home’s brick is painted and penciled, which was a popular technique at the time. The goal was to have very thin mortar lines so they would paint all the brick and then go back and very thinly paint in the mortar line.
