This pretty old place in New Orleans has quite the story to tell. I found it hidden among gorgeous greenery and a gate on my walk through the Garden District one day.
Built in 1850, it was bought in 1859 by Lloyd Coleman and was in his family for 145 years. It was occupied by Union Army Officers in the Civil War. It was used as a filming location for the 1978 controversial film “Pretty Baby” and was considered “one of the most haunted houses in New Orleans” for years.
It deteriorated for several years before being bought and renovated in 2010. I’m so glad they saved this beautiful Nola home!
