The Edward B. Almon House in Tuscumbia, Alabama was built in 1888. Almon was a lawyer in his early career, having attended UofA in Tuscaloosa. He was a senator, a judge, Rep for the House, and even Speaker of the House. He served ten terms in the House. One of his well-known accomplishments while in Congress was being instrumental in the establishment of what is now the TVA.
Edward built this home the year after he and his wife Lucie Clopper married.
