Bowling Green’s “The Castle”

How about this “castle”? No really, this place has been dubbed “The Castle” since it was constructed in 1876. The home was built by James Erasmus Potter, the son of prominent local banker Pleasant J. Potter. It was in the Potter family for 30 years and was eventually sold and was turned into 12 apartments. In the 1990s, it underwent major renovations bringing it back to a single-family dwelling.

The current owners rent the bottom two floors to WKU students and call the third story home.

How’s that for a turret tower?!
