The Eugene Enslen House, in Birmingham, was built in 1910. His family were some of the earliest citizens to the town and organized the Jefferson County Savings Bank which is where much of his wealth came from.
This home has over 8,000 square feet and is one of the finest Neo-classical Revival residences in the city. During the 1970s, it was threatened with demolition, but became the center point for restoration in this area. It houses a law office these days.
