This Franklin, Tennessee home may be one of the most famous in town. Parts of it have been around for over 190 years. The original one-story portion of the home was built in 1830 by Carey Harris who was responsible for starting the Franklin Weekly Newspaper. Then in 1849 the mayor of Franklin, John B. McEwen, purchased the home and gave it the addition and Italianate look that you see here today.
It’s considered to be one of the most beautifully restored homes in Franklin.
My friends at Lovely Franklin featured this home and shared not only its story, but inside photos of this beauty. You can read that here – https://rb.gy/yq2yua.
