The Garrett House, Lawrenceburg

Welcome to the Garrett House! This is the only brick Queen Anne in the town of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The house was built for James W. Garrett around 1908. Records seem to indicate that there was another home on this property that may have burned and this one was built in its place. ⁣

Garrett served two terms as the mayor of Lawrenceburg. This home is said to be the first in the city that was wired for electricity. ⁣

It was a wedding and event venue for several years and is now a coffee shop called Chuckaboo Coffee House. I have yet to try it so if any of you have, let me know what you think!⁣
