The Palmer House – Charleston

In honor of the warmer weather and all the spring feels, I thought it would be fun to do a pink week! ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’• Bring on all the pink houses!

This stately pink house can be found along the Battery and overlooks Charleston Harbor. It was built in 1848 is known as The Palmer House and also The Pink Palace. I think you can see why! It was rebuilt in 1886 after a major earthquake hit Charleston. This is when it was given its Italianate architecture as was popular during this time.

It was a bed and breakfast for many years and was recently used in the Bravo TV series “Southern Charm”.
