Old Farmhouse Tour – Part 2

To finish out our tour inside the old Tennessee farmhouse, we’re headed upstairs. I think this may be my favorite part of this house. The light that comes through those big windows is a dream.⁣

If you look closely in the second picture, you can see the original staircase peeking through the panelling.⁣

The 5th picture appeared to be what they may have used as the laundry room. It had an old laundry divider and that wire across the room looks like a line for drying clothes. ⁣

Then back downstairs, I just had to share that adorable old pencil sharpener!⁣

The bathroom was the only one found in this massive home, though I’m sure there was an outhouse too.⁣

The fireplace and mantle. Whew, I don’t think I can say much about that, but WOW. ⁣

Lastly, I thought the advertisement for the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II was incredible. That was June 2nd, 1953 so this was from sometime around then. ⁣

I hope y’all enjoyed this little tour. What a story this home tells about the lives lived here. ⁣
