To finish out our tour inside the old Tennessee farmhouse, we’re headed upstairs. I think this may be my favorite part of this house. The light that comes through those big windows is a dream.
If you look closely in the second picture, you can see the original staircase peeking through the panelling.
The 5th picture appeared to be what they may have used as the laundry room. It had an old laundry divider and that wire across the room looks like a line for drying clothes.
Then back downstairs, I just had to share that adorable old pencil sharpener!
The bathroom was the only one found in this massive home, though I’m sure there was an outhouse too.
The fireplace and mantle. Whew, I don’t think I can say much about that, but WOW.
Lastly, I thought the advertisement for the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II was incredible. That was June 2nd, 1953 so this was from sometime around then.
