Have you ever seen one like this? This was a first for me! This old house, in Harriman, Tennessee, was built in 1892 for David Gibson. Gibson was the founder of Gibson Agricultural Works (farm implements). His home was described as “unique in its architectural design with a rounded front of general design and very pleasing.” โฃ

An excerpt from the East Tennessee Land Company’s booklet, Two Years of Harriman declared “โฆthere were more houses in Harriman in 1892 costing $3,000 to $10,000 each than any other town in the United States of its age and size” and the frame homes were said to be “uncommon for their architectural beauty.” โฃ

Though this home looks beautifully maintained now, it wasn’t always this shiney. It sold back in 2018 for just $32k and was in a state of disrepair. It’s been brought back to life! โฃ
