I shared this one last year sometime, but I’ve got some old pictures of it to share with you today. Check out the older pictures of this home. Not sure of the year they were taken.
The 1877 map of Bowling Green shows a residence on this lot, but it’s not the same one that you see here today. It belonged to a Mrs. S. T. Mayhugh and it’s unclear what style home that was.
The Jessee House was built sometime around 1908 for Palmer C. and Mayme Jessee. They bought the lot here in 1905 and built this home soon thereafter. Palmer Jessee came from Bowling Green from Virginia to organize the Planters Insurance Company. He was the secretary.
