Henry L. Underwood House

Alright arched window-lovin’ friends! Check this beauty out!

The Henry L. Underwood house was built sometime around 1870ish and is a beautiful example of Italianate architecture. Henry L. Underwood was the son of Warner Underwood, who was Lincoln’s minister to Scotland.

This home is constructed of wood, but was hand-carved to resemble stone. The cast-iron fence out front is one of the last originals remaining on this street.
