If the walls of this old house could talk, they would have quite the story to tell. Built sometime before 1899, this Victorian has seen it all – from the days of Bell Buckle merchant W. H. Jamison and his wife Fannie, to the Fugitt family (who happen to be distant relatives to the town’s founder, A. D. Fugitt himself), to the Meek family who have lovingly maintained it all the years that it was theirs.
But what really sets this house apart is its unique “U” shape and jigsawn gingerbread ornamental detail around the porch. It’s like something out of a fairytale – a charming and whimsical.
And let’s not forget about the history. This house has seen generations come and go, and it’s a testament to the enduring spirit of the town of Bell Buckle.
The Buckners call this home now and they have done a wonderful job keeping the beauty of it alive.
