Burroughs-Hazelhurst House

The Burroughs-Hazelhurst House, in Brunswick, was constructed sometime in the 1870s. It was built by Dr. William Berrien Burroughs, a prominent physician. He actually built the home for his wife’s unmarried sisters. They were known to the family as “the aunties”.⁣

The house sits on the most beautiful spot overlooking Hanover Square. It’s a wonderful example of Second Empire architecture, complete with mansard roof!⁣
