The Watson House was built circa 1881 in Franklin, Tennessee and cost around $18,000 to build. It was constructed by Susan Katherine “Kitty” Puryear Watson after her husband died. Interesting fact: Kitty tore down a home on this property in order to build this home. She hired architect Hugh Cathcart Thompson who also designed the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville.
