I can’t pass an old house like this one without wondering. Wondering about the folks that opened those windows on hot summer days and peered out into their front yard. I would guess that road wasn’t there.
I wonder about the conversations that were had gathered around their kitchen table. Why is the chimney gone there in the middle? At what point did the folks leave for the last time? And where did they go?
