This incredibly over the top structure is the Federal Building in downtown Clarksville, Tennessee. Completed in 1898. It’s unusually flamboyant for its size. It’s an obvious Queen Anne Victorian with so much detail, I feel like every time I look at it, I see something new! Did you see those large eagles on all the corners? And there’s a chimney on only one side. And believe it or not, this is just one story!
It served as a post office until the 1930s when it became offices for Clarksville’s electric department. It’s now a museum that features art, history, and children’s exhibits.
