Rippavilla Dates to 1855

This is the Rippavilla Plantation also known as the Nathaniel Cheairs House in Spring Hill, Tennessee. It was completed in 1855 after a very lengthy process. The story goes that he was very particular about the building process and even ordered some walls to be built three times before he considered them suitable. He was called off to the Civil War eventually and served as a Confederate soldier where he was imprisoned twice. The home sustained very little damage during the war and once again became the residence of the family through the 1920s.
