The David Jones House in Maryville, Tennessee was built in 1887. This is the last home built in Second Empire style still standing in Blount County today. David Jones was born in Wales and came to the US in 1857. He was a brick maker and his company built several buildings in the area including the county’s courthouse. The house was bought by Highland Presbyterian Church in 1957 and additions were added to accomodate the congregation. It’s been on the National Register of Historic Places since 1982.
