Beautiful classical revival in Hattiesburg. Built in 1905 for Abner Polk, the superintendent of schools. It was in such disrepair at one point, that it violated historical requirements. However, it’s been restored and looks more beautiful than ever!

This craftsman cutie belonged to my husband’s great grandmother! Circa 1917 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. It’s part of the Oaks Historic District which was mostly developed after the turn of the century. Located a little south of the business district, many of these homes were sold “ready-cut” and around 50% of the homes in this area…

New Orleans’ Blue Lady
The Blue Lady in New Orleans was built in 1889 by architect Louis Lambert. It’s one of the most iconic homes in the city. The fireplaces work and it has much of the original stained glass and millwork.ย ย A full renovation took place in 2010.

1905 Historic Laurel Home
This home was built in 1905. For sale when we walked through the neighborhood, but appears off the market now. It came with a companion home which ha 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms itself! Big pool in the back and historically tall ceilings and touches. The road out front is still made of brick.

Bolivar’s “The Columns”
The Ingram House or more commonly known as “The Columns” in Bolivar was built in 1860. It was used as a hospital during the Civil War and the backyard contains the oldest boxwood garden in the state of Tennessee. The Ingram family bought the house in 1900 and it remained in their family for decades.…
