The Caldwell House in Staunton, Virginia was built in 1898. It contributes to the Gospel Hill Historic District which was given its name in the 1790s when religious meetings were held at Sampson Eagon’s blacksmith shop in the area.

The Highland Park neighborhood in Richmond is slowly getting a face lift and it shows. This home there was built in 1895 and has been renovated over the last few years. I love seeing old homes being brought back to life again!

The Haggard House in Rockwood, Tennessee. Circa 1905. The Queen Anne mixed with those big colonial columns makes this one interesting. Haggard was a lawyer and a local leader in politics. He lived here with his wife Katherine.

Unique Harriman House
The Gibson House was built circa 1892 in Harriman, Tennessee. It was built for David Gibson who began Gibson Agricultural Works. They made farm equipment. His home was described as “unique in its architectural design with a rounded front of general design and very pleasing.” Unique indeed!

Circa 1899, the C. W. Miller House is an iconic piece of history in Staunon, Virginia. It housed the Mary Baldwin College’s music department for many years, but was converted back to a private residence in 1993. Over 6,000 square feet!
