Unique Natchez MS House
Have you ever seen one quite like this before?! This is a definite first for me. I’m digging the symmetry, that’s for sure. I couldn’t find much about this one, but that it was built in 1890. It’s located in beautiful Natchez, Mississippi.

Wilkes-Baird House, Columbia
I think I mention this house at least once a year. It’s a favorite to say the least! The Wilkes-Baird Home, in Columbia, was built in 1885. The owners told me that the next two homes beside this one were built by the same family and that three sisters lived in a row! โฃโฃโฃโฃ

James J. Sweeney House
Happy Independence Day! ๐บ๐ธ I couldn’t think of a better house to feature today than the James J. Sweeney House in Owensboro, Kentucky. This bluetiful (did you see what I did there?) old place was built in 1893 for prominent Owensboro lawyer James J. Sweeney. It was built by the Drach & Thomas architectural firm.…

Shelbyville, Tennessee Tudor
It was my first time noticing this little cutie in Shelbyville. It was built in 1940 and hasn’t been on the market for over 40 years. I’m always surprised at the amount of Tudor architecture in Shelbyville. It’s the oldest town in the county, but went through several phases of architecture during its development.

Le Vega Clements House
This magnificent brick Queen Anne sits high up on a hill in Owensboro, Kentucky. When it was built in 1894 by Sylvester Monarch, its view on the hill overlooked the Ohio River and it was named “Highlands”. It’s been considered “the finest example of Queen Anne domestic architecture in Owensboro”. While its view has been…

1886 Second Empire in Augusta
How about a minty mansard for your Monday?! This cutie is one of three sister homes in a row that look the same, but are different colors! Built in 1886, you can find the sisters on Greene Street in Olde Town Augusta, Georgia. They have been turned into apartments over the years, but I’m just…
